Nick Cannon is showing some love to his ex-wife Mariah Carey!
In case you missed it, the 53-year-old singer and their 11-year-old daughter Monroe Cannon teamed up with Kim Kardashian and her 9-year-old daughter North West for a fun video, in which they lip-synced and performed the viral dance for Mariah’s hit track It’s a Wrap. We weren’t the only ones who thought the mother-daughter moment was adorable. When asked about the clip after it went viral, Nick told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday he “loved” it and praised Mariah and Monroe for the “epic” performance. The 42-year-old host added:
“My daughter has the entertainment bug… [You can] definitely see that connection with her and her mom. It’s beautiful, the fact that they get to have fun with each other… families are connecting in a different way than ever before.”
But what makes the TikTok video extra “special” for Nick? He explained to the outlet:
“That song that they were doing TikTok to is a song that I produced and worked on with Mariah, so even that made it special. It was a touching moment. It was shocking at first, but then it was awesome. I was like, ‘Alright, I see what y’all are doing, going viral.’”
