Bryan Kohberger Is OBSESSED With TV Coverage Of His Murder Case

We have a long time before Bryan Kohberger faces trial for the murders of four college students in Moscow, Idaho. His next hearing isn’t even until June, so this is going to be some wait. So what is he doing with all this time?

Fellow inmates at the Latah County Jail, where Kohberger been kept since being extradited from Pennsylvania in January, have spilled deets about his daily existence to DailyMail.com, and some of these revelations are more surprising than others…

First off, the accused murderer is allegedly OBSESSED with watching coverage of his case. We didn’t even realize he’d have access to the TV, but apparently he watches every day — but instead of chilling out with The Price Is Right, he watches news coverage of himself. One inmate told the outlet:

“He watches himself all the time. It’s really kind of bizarre.”

We have to be honest, this one isn’t all that surprising. A lot of folks obsess over true crime, and this case in particular — with its unexplained brutality and lack of police transparency, it’s consistently intriguing. Kohberger was a criminology PhD student before his arrest, so the idea he’d be interested in this sort of thing isn’t much of a stretch, even if it didn’t affect the course of his entire life.

Not to mention, serial and spree killers have been known to follow police investigations into their crimes. Kohberger has been charged with the brutal stabbings of four University of Idaho students — Maddie MogenKaylee GoncalvesXana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin — with no discernible motive. If he is guilty, and the evidence is certainly all pointing that way, this could fit a pretty common profile.

Another jail source had a much more shocking revelation to share: Kohberger has allegedly turned to God in his darkest hour. The insider said every Sunday evening at 7 p.m. he has a one-on-one with a local pastor:

“He sits down with the pastor and receives his own private mass. It’s just the two of them. And no, I have no idea what they might talk about.”

Huh. Could it be because he’s facing his own mortality? This is a capital case. Maybe he feels the need to confess because he’s got a guilty conscience?

It doesn’t sound like it from other descriptions of his demeanor. An inmate told DM:

“He always has the same expression, or non-expression. He just looks straight ahead. I’ve never even seen his eyebrows or mouth move. He never says anything.”

Never says a word to anyone. Other inmates occasionally talk to him, though. As a minor celebrity, he often gets heckled. A prison official recounted a time another inmate yelled, “Bitch!” at him, and he just turned and gave him that look we’ve all seen.

But he never does anything, or even speaks to the other couple dozen or so inmates at Latah. He’s apparently a model prisoner. Huh. What do YOU think of these new insights into Kohberger’s life in jail??
