Vanessa Williams Secretly Got Divorced 3 Years Ago!

Surprise! Vanessa Williams is a single woman!

The iconic singer is currently husbandless… and has been for three years! And no one knew!

During an interview with People (she’s this week’s cover star), the Desperate Housewives alum revealed she and her ex-husband, accountant Jim Skrip, quietly divorced all the way back in 2021.

When asked if she’s in love, the 61-year-old, who’s currently starring as Miranda Priestly in London’s West End production of The Devil Wears Prada, admitted:

“I’m doing what I love, and I’m in love with life. There is not one person that I’m in love with, but I’m in love with everybody.”

Oh wow! She doesn’t seem to be too hung up on things — like, at all! We mean… we guess it has been a long time for her…

She added:

“I love my freedom. I love being alive, having options in my life, and being surrounded by beautiful things, great people, and wonderful opportunities.”

The Save the Best for Last singer and her ex-husband married back in 2015 after meeting on a Nile River cruise in Egypt. She told MadameNoire at the time:

“I wasn’t looking for anything. He happened to be traveling alone and happened to know who I was but wasn’t a super fan.”

In her interview this week, Vanessa didn’t reveal any details about exactly what went down between her and Jim, but the outlet reported it was an amicable split. Well, it would have to be to stay so quiet, right?
