Tekashi 6ix9ine is being treated for wounds after a brutal attack.
The rapper, who is known for songs like GOOBA and TROLLZ, was rushed to a hospital Tuesday after being jumped by a group of men at a South Florida LA Fitness. According to footage captured in the moment, the ambush took place in the gym’s bathroom — you can clearly see three men standing over the 26-year old, telling him to “shut the f**k up,” as they punched and kicked, while he tried to protect his head and face. Later in the footage, the individual recording followed the rapper as he exited the bathroom, showing his beaten and bloodied face. View the violent footage at your own risk (below):

Tekashi’s attorney Lance Lazzaro later told TMZ that the rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, had been using the gym’s sauna prior to the assault, and did not have security with him at the time.

Once LA Fitness employees became aware of the situation, they called police and emergency services before the BEBE rapper was transported to a nearby hospital to have wounds to his face, jaw, ribs, and back treated. See the graphic aftermath of the attack (below):

Lazzaro has since said that the plan is to get the Feds involved, to ensure Tekashi gets proper protection going forward… If you remember, the New York native was arrested back in 2018 for racketeering, including discharging a firearm while committing a crime, which carries a minimum prison sentence of 25 years. His federal indictment also listed drug deals, armed robberies, and shootings. Months later, the young rapper pleaded guilty after cooperating with Feds, admitting to committing almost all of the crimes he’d been accused of, while simultaneously narcing on his associates and testifying against members of the Nine Trey Gangsters, reducing his own prison sentence to just two years.

THEN, you may remember that in 2020, the controversial artist was released from prison four months early amid COVID-19 concerns, but was issued by a judge to finish out the sentence on house arrest. Lazzaro wrote in a letter to the judge at the time:
“Given the health crisis that is currently tearing through this region and Mr. Hernandez’s compromised medical condition, please strongly consider modifying Mr. Hernandez’s sentence so as to immediately make him eligible for home confinement.”
Tekashi has since been a free man after serving the remainder of his sentence on house arrest, but is still unpopular among many for telling on his associates. As of now, it is unknown if the gym attack was related.
