Gypsy Rose Blanchard CANNOT Get A Quickie Divorce From Ex Ryan Anderson Because Of This Weird Louisiana Law!

If Gypsy Rose Blanchard was hoping for a quickie divorce from estranged husband Ryan Anderson, she ain’t gonna get it!

The Life After Lockup star may be moving on with Ken Urker, and even getting ready to have a baby with him, but she’ll have to do it all amid a majorly delayed official divorce from Anderson. And it’s all because of the laws that exist around marriages and divorces in Louisiana!

According to Ryan’s attorney Jeffrey Carrier, who spoke to TMZ on Wednesday, when married couples without children divorce in Louisiana, they have to live apart for six months after divorce papers are served and BEFORE they can even request a hearing!

That’s a big issue, because even though Gypsy Rose and Ryan publicly split up back in March, he actually wasn’t served papers until just DAYS ago! So, the six-month clock basically starts right now! And because of that, even though Gypsy Rose wants to move on with Ken and the baby, this divorce is going to churn on into next year whether they like it or not.

Now, there are a few major legal issues that have already been agreed upon. Namely: spousal support. Per Carrier, both Ryan and Gypsy Rose have agreed that neither one of them is due any spousal support or alimony. Gypsy Rose apparently initially asked for spousal support, but that request has been rescinded.

The two do have some assets that they need to split up in an official division of property, too. Even though they were married for less than two years, they have both signed contracts for shows, books, and media products of that nature. So, they’ll have to get with their lawyers and see if they can easily split that up. There is one major thing here that has already been settled, tho: Gypsy Rose already agreed to give Ryan their dog, Pixie. So, that’s simple.

Now, once this six-month waiting period ends, TMZ claims a divorce hearing is likely to happen within two or three weeks. So, a mid-January divorce — at the very earliest — would seem plausible. Drama, drama, drama down in Louisiana. And all this after another state law down there holds that Ryan is (at least thus far) legally the father of Gypsy and Ken’s unborn baby!

Obvi, something tells us that this is far from the last of the salacious news we’ll be passing on about Gypsy Rose and her whole situation… Reactions, y’all?? Share ’em (below)!
